Tender Operations
Purpose
To provide a standard response criteria for water tenders operation when responding to an emergency incident.
Scope
To provide a defined guide as to the operation of water tenders, to assure all members operate the tenders in same manner, safely at all times.
Responsibilities
It shall be the duty of all District personnel to ensure that the intent of this order is followed.
Procedure
All Tender Operations:
- Only Code 1 Responses are permitted on emergency incidents with Water Tenders.
- If Incident Command or on-scene commander determines that any other type of response is needed, they may upgrade the response as required.
- Intentional dumping of any tank water onto any roadway while traveling is prohibited.
Violation of this policy is subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination covered in the disciplinary action SOG.
