Promotional Board Procedures

Purpose

To establish consistent guidelines for the selection and promotion of members within the Fire District.

Scope

This order shall apply to all District personnel.

Responsibility

It shall be the responsibility of all District personnel to ensure that the intent of this order be followed.

Procedure

All promotions will be processed through a promotional board, unless a temporary appointment is deemed necessary by the Fire Chief or the acting.

Promotional Boards will be assigned by the Fire Chief or the acting.

All Promotional Boards shall consist of a minimum of three (3) members, one of them being the Fire Chief or the acting.

Promotions will be made based on the results of the Promotional Board. In the case of multiple successful candidates, the Chief or the acting will make the final determination.
