Medical Certification
Purpose
This program has been developed for the protection of all District employees and shall identify the level of medical certification supported by the Fire District.
Scope
This SOP shall be applicable to all District medical personnel.
Responsibility
It shall be the responsibility of all District personnel to ensure that the intent of this order be followed.
Procedure
The Nestucca Rural Fire Protection District shall support medical personnel certified up to and including the level of EMT-Basic by providing a supervising physician, standing orders, insurance, and the equipment necessary to perform at that level. Any medical certification above the level of EMT-Basic will not be supported.
Performing procedures outside of the standing orders and support provided by the Fire District could subject the individual to disciplinary action up to and including termination covered in the disciplinary action SOG.
