Emergency Vehicle Response Guidelines
Purpose
The Emergency Response Guideline is created to provide a safe, adequate, and consistent means in which the Fire District responds to emergencies within its response area.
Scope
This guideline will apply to all District personnel responding to emergencies in District or privately owned vehicles.
Responsibility
It shall be the responsibility of all District personnel to ensure that the intent of this guideline is followed.
Procedure
All District personnel shall, on receipt of a call for service, listen for the type of incident, record the location, then determine by the guideline if response is appropriate.
Medical Response:
The guideline for medical response shall be to respond to your initial response area, not to exceed the next station. Exceptions to the guideline would be, but may not be limited to, no response from the initial station, request for additional help, magnitude of call. Exceptions may constitute response from the next closest station.
Motor Vehicle Accidents:
The guideline for motor vehicle accidents is outlined in the Response Procedure section below.

Hebo to mile post 8 on Hwy 22:
81 and 83 respond to the scene
82 stage at Resort Dr. and Hwy 101
If 82 responds to the scene, 8411 stages at Resort Drive and Hwy 101
Hwy 22 at mile post 8+:
81 and 83 respond to the scene
8245 respond to the scene via Little River Road if needed
8211 or 8411 stage at Resort Drive and Hwy 101
Little River Rd. to Dolph Junction:
82 and 81 respond to the scene
8411 stage at Resort Drive and Hwy 101
83 may stage at Hebo
Hwy 101 from Cloverdale south to Brooten Rd.:
81 and 82 respond to the scene
8411 stage at Little River and Hwy 101
Hwy 101 south of Brooten Rd.:
81, 82 and 84 respond to the scene

Resort Drive, Old Woods Rd, Thousand Trails:
81 and 82 respond to the scene

Sandlake Rd north of McPhillips Rd. to Whalen Island:
82, 85 and 8145 respond to the scene if needed

86 may stage at station 83
Hwy 101 north of Beaver:
83, 86 and 81 respond to the scene if needed

Blaine Rd.:
86, 83 and 8145 respond to the scene if needed

Structure Fires and Natural Cover Responses
Structure and natural cover fires shall be considered general alarm responses. Three engines, 2 Rescues, and Command Vehicle minimum on structures governed by the magnitude of the individual incident. It shall be the responsibility of the incident commander to determine required resources and make assignments.
Special Note:
The Fire District, with the creation of this guideline, understands the unique response challenges of its service area and has designed this guideline to be flexible to those needs. The flexibility of the guideline allows for adjustments of resources to match the magnitude or circumstances of each incident at the discretion of the incident commander. The intent of this guideline is to establish a uniform response to emergencies without hindering service delivery.
Violation of this policy is subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination covered in the disciplinary action SOG.
