NRFPD Station and Administration Office Destroyed in Fire
A fire that started in an adjoining business yesterday at about 2:30pm destroyed the District's administration office and Cloverdale station.

The fire started at Sure Win Enterprises at about 2:30pm and quickly spread into an adjoining Napa Auto Parts store and the Cloverdale fire station and administration offices. The four alarm fire call was dispatched at 2:37pm. Nestucca RPFD, Tillamook FD, Netarts-Oceanside FPD, and North Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded. In all over 100 firefighters fought the fire.
Highway 101 was closed through Cloverdale while the fire was being fought and for several hours afterward as overhaul operations were performed. Traffic was directed around the area by Oregon DOT workers, the Tillamook County Sheriff's Office and with the help of others.
The American Red Cross and Pacific City - Nestucca Valley Chamber of Commerce provided food, temporary shelter, and other services for emergency crews during operations.
Nestucca fire personel remained on scene over night to perform overhaul operations. An investigation into the cause of the fire is planned for today.
