May 6, 2010 - PC Laundry
On Wednesday May 5 at 1815 hours NRFPD units responded to smoke in the building at Pacific City Laundry on Spring St. We arrived and forced entry through a window and found the building charged with light white/gray smoke. We located the source as laundry basket containing "bar towels" that had been washed and dried earlier and placed in the basket to be folded this morning. At this time the cause is undetermined and D/C Hays is following up. The damage was confined to the basket with smoke damage limited to light odor in the building only.

February 18, 2010 - Rescue Director Position
Patrick Maahs has announced that he will be stepping down from his position as Rescue Director and Officer. Patrick is moving to Tillamook to take on a new job. It is unfortunate for the District to lose an individual like Patrick. We're sure he will do well and wish him all the best.
The District is looking to fill the position in the very near future so that progress on the program can continue.
