The Nestucca Volunteer Firefighters' Association is hosting it's 13th annual Dory Days Breakfast Benefit at the Kiawanda Center in Pacific City on July 17th. Breakfast is pancakes, eggs, sausages, and ham and will be served from 7-11am. Cost is $6 for adults and $4 for seniors and children.

Fire Season will officially begin on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 01:00 a.m . This will affect all lands protected by the Oregon Department of Forestry in the Northwest Oregon region. This area includes all State, private and BLM forest land in the Tillamook, Astoria, and Forest Grove Districts, which consists of Tillamook, Washington, Yamhill, Clatsop, Columbia, and Multnomah Counties, as well as portions of Lincoln County.

Due to the loss of our main office in Cloverdale, operations have temporarily been moved to the Pacific City station. We are in the process now of finding and setting up a more permanent administrative facility. We will post more information here when it becomes available. If you need to contact us, our phone numbers are still in operation - they have been rerouted to Pacific City.

A fire that started in an adjoining business yesterday at about 2:30pm destroyed the District's administration office and Cloverdale station.

Do you want to be prepared for an emergency? Do you want to help during an emergency? We have started a community based citizens emergency response group. You can be part of the community that is helping the community.

Attend the Emergency Preparedness Fair June 12, 2010 at the Kiawanda Community Center from 9AM-1PM.

An S130/190 class will be offered for District members June 5-6 at the State Forestry office in Tillamook. Remember: you must have this class to assist with wildfires. For officers an Incident Command for Hazardous Materials class will be offered June 5-6 in Garibaldi. This class is required for any officer that could be in charge of a Scene. Please contact Jim Oeder by Friday, May 28th to sign up for either of these classes.

Jim Mahannah is putting together a team for this years Relay for Life in Tillamook. This will be the 9th year NRFPD will have had a team. Tillamook Fire has started a team to compete with us on funds raised and volunteers participating. Jim asks that people contact him (503-812-0382) or sign up online at Relay for Life.
