October 28, 2010 - Promotions

To: All Members
From: Chief Weiland

I am very pleased to say that the promotional process for Captains and Lieutenants has been completed.

Each candidate did an outstanding job with the assignments they were given to complete. This was a multi-level process for each of them. The dynamics each had to complete were:
  • Tactical - First arriving officer on a working structure fire.
  • Personnel - Dealing with an issue with one of our firefighters and a SOG complaint.

In these two dynamics the candidates were evaluated by a group of their fire service peers from local fire agencies. The feed back for all the evaluators was ever positive.

The Captains had to work out a Station budget for the Station funds and forward this to the Chief. As budget time begins we will use these to establish a budget for each Station.

Please join me in congratulating the following on their promotions!

Station 83 Captain Travis Cole, Lieutenant Todd Crowe
Station 85 Captain Ann Cunningham
Station 86 Captain Bill Slavens
